PTO Committees
4th Grade Gallery Hop 25/26 Chair: Ashley Knott Time Commitment: Â 10 hours or less, with all the time around the month of the event, usually held in April. Description: Â Coordinate the annual springtime art gallery event that showcases the 4th graders art accomplishments to their parents during this evening event.
5th Grade Activities 25/26 Chair: Heather Adams Time Commitment: Â 10 hours or less time commitment, this is dependent on what role you are responsible for and how many committee members. Â This is a year long commitment, with work throughout the entire year. Description: Â This group plans the 5th grade activities to celebrate the 5th graders time at Tremont. The committee organizes the breakfast, beach party, t-shirts, memory book and more.
After School Activities 25/26 Chair: Emily Yarletts Time Commitment: Â This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens throughout the year. Description: Â Coordinate after school enrichment activities, organize registration and find volunteers to be a parent representative at the activity to help dismiss children.
Book Fair 25/26 Chair: Elizabeth Kress Time Commitment: Â This is 20 hours or less time commitment. With all the work done the week before and the week of the event, which usually takes place in November. Description: Â Help organize the book sale sponsored by Scholastic, that allows the students the opportunity to shop and create wish lists. All proceeds go to the Media center library. Â The committee helps with set-up, tear down, staffing the event and recruiting volunteers to also help staff the event.
Cafeteria Volunteers 25/26 Chair: Amy Davis Ireton Time Commitment: Â This is 10 hours or less time commitment. This position requires setting up a sign up genius to collect and manage monthly volunteers to work the cafeteria.
Cake Bingo 25/26 Chair: Andrea Wise Time Commitment: Â This is 10 hours or less time commitment. All of the work occurs during the month the event happens, which is historically in April. Description:Â Help plan a fun night for families to play bingo and win cakes! You will oversee the event and create a volunteer sign up for donations, to help set up, check-in and clean up.
Multicultural Night 25/26 Chair: Hina Patel & Megan McCarthy Description: Â Coordinate with local businesses to give a percentage of their profits to Tremont after hosting a night with Tremont families. Time Commitment: Â This is 5 hours or less time commitment that happens throughout the year.
Dine & Donate 25/26 Chair: Kim Purdy Description: Â Coordinate with local businesses to give a percentage of their profits to Tremont after hosting a night with Tremont families. Time Commitment: Â This is 5 hours or less time commitment that happens throughout the year.
Directory 25/26 Chair: Shannon Swint Description: Compile the online TSA membership directory. Time Commitment:  This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens all in late August and September.
Not So Silent Auction 25/26 Chair: Megan Schiavoni Time Commitment: Â This is 20 hours or less time commitment that happens in December, January and until the event in late February. Description: Â A silent auction with appetizers and drinks for parents and friends of Tremont. Committee volunteers needed to help plan and work the event, solicit donations, and oversee all the financial aspects of the event.
Running Club 25/26 Chair: Margaret Meyer & Julia Wiseman Time Commitment: Â This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens in January. Description: Â Work with teachers to plan a fun night in January for kids to spend an evening with teacher volunteers while parents can have a night out.
Room Parent Coordinator 25/26 Chair: Abby Underman Time Commitment:  This is 20 hours or less time commitment that will be busy throughout the year, but more so in the fall as everything gets organized. Description:  Oversee Room Parent Coordinators and ensure they are pushing out timely information as needed for classroom parties, fundraising, or any other needed communication.
School Supply Sale 25/26 Chair: Molly Carskadon Time Commitment: Â This is 15 hours or less time commitment that happens in the spring and summer before the school year begins. Description: Â Coordinates with teachers to generate supply lists and orders, sorts and distributes school supplies to the Tremont community.
Spelling Bee 25/26Chair: Barbie Stefanini & Ashley Bring Time Commitment: Â Description:
Spirit Wear 25/26 Chair: Brittany Saxe & Ashley Huber Time Commitment: Â This is 20 hours or less time commitment. Â Most of the work occurs June-August and then again for the winter sale in October-November. Description: Â Helps the students of Tremont show their school pride. This group of creative parents design and sell all the spirit wear for the school.
Teacher Appreciation Week 25/26 Chair: Amanda Weber & Kay Corbetto Time Commitment: Â This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens the week of the event in early May. Description: Â Committee pampers the teachers and staff members for an entire week. This group plans all school activities during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
Walk-a-thon 25/26 Chair: Kelly Van Buren & Amanda Hicks Time Commitment:  This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens all around the time of the event. Description:  Plan and oversee the student walking fundraising event normally held in the fall at Tremont.
Walking Club/Walk to School Program 25/26 Chair: Claire Bauer Descriptions:  Two programs that promote healthy living and encourages walking both before school and during lunch. Time Commitment:  This is 10 hours or less time commitment that happens throughout the whole year.
Fall Fest 25/26 Chair: Allison Lopiore & Bethany Prill Description: Â A Fall themed festival for students and families held on a Friday in October. This fun filled night includes, games, food trucks, bounce houses, and raffle of classroom baskets. Volunteers needed to help plan the event and work shifts throughout the night. Time Commitment: Â This is 20 hours or less time commitment that happens in September and up until the event is held in October.
