Fall Walk + Roll Results Are In!
Our five-week fall Walk + Roll challenge is officially complete and Tremont showed up.
This fall, we had 130 student participants earn a total of 592 punches, a 40% increase from last fall!
Every punch also helped us give back. For each one earned, Tremont PTO donated $0.05 to World Bicycle Relief, resulting in a total fall donation of $29.60.
World Bicycle Relief helps provide bicycles that expand access to education, healthcare and economic opportunities in communities around the world.
And Now for the Bragging Rights...
Our Kindergarteners led the way with the most participants and the most punches overall.
For the class competition, we ended in a tie:
Mrs. Hays’ 2nd Grade Class — 42 punches
Mrs. Skelsky’s 3rd Grade Class — 42 punches
Which means both classes have earned a Hat Day!
Huge thanks to every student who walked, biked or scooted to school and to the parent volunteers who helped make Thursday mornings run smoothly.
More movement. More participation. More impact. We’ll call that a win.
Scholastic Book Fair: November 4–11
Book Fair season is almost here!
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair runs November 4–11, giving students the chance to browse and shop for books during the school day.
Families can get in on the fun, too! Join us for Family Shop Night on Tuesday, November 10 and shop the fair together.
Parent volunteer sign-up is available for those who would like to help keep the fair running smoothly.
Prepare yourselves...the wish lists are coming!
Heart to Heart Food Pantry Delivery Volunteers Needed
Thirty minutes. One Tuesday. A meaningful impact right here in our community.
Tremont donates leftover, unopened perishable and non-perishable food items to the Heart to Heart Food Pantry in Grandview, and we need one parent volunteer each Tuesday throughout the school year to help make the delivery.
Volunteers pick up the donated items from Tremont and deliver them to the pantry anytime between 9:00–11:00 a.m.
The full trip typically takes about 30 minutes door-to-door, and the sign-up includes all the pickup, drop-off and logistical details you’ll need.
Choose a Tuesday that works for you and help us keep good food going where it can do some good.
Recess Renegades: Extra Volunteers Needed!
The Renegades are rolling and we need a few more grown-ups to keep those laps coming.
Recess Renegades runs Tuesdays and Thursdays through November 24 during lunch recess. Students can walk or run laps around the Tremont turf and earn charms as they hit their lap milestones.
It’s an easy, inclusive way for kids to get moving, spend time with friends, and have something fun to work toward during recess.
Parents, this is also one of our easiest daytime volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers help track laps, manage student cards and hand out plenty of encouragement along the way.
Extra helping hands are especially needed right now, so grab a shift if you can!
And keep reminding your kids to participate - sometimes all they need is a little nudge from home to join the fun!
PTO Meeting: Join Us on Zoom November 3
Want to know what PTO is working on next?
Our next PTO General Meeting is Monday, November 3, and you can join us without even leaving the couch.
We’ll meet via Zoom to share updates, talk about what’s ahead and give Tremont families an easy way to learn more about what’s happening behind the scenes.
Whether you’re already involved, looking for a way to jump in or simply want to know what PTO actually does with all those emails we keep sending - all are welcome.
