Fall Fest + Walk-A-Thon Are Almost Here!
Friday, October 9 is a big day at Tremont: Walk-A-Thon by day, Fall Fest by night.
Walk-A-Thon
Students will collect donations from friends and family who want to “sponsor” their laps around the Tremont turf.
Walk-A-Thon schedule:
K + 1st: 9:00–9:30 a.m.
3rd + 4th: 9:45–10:15 a.m.
2nd + 5th: 10:25–10:55 a.m.
Donations can be returned in your student’s envelope or made online.
Then Come Back for Fall Fest!
5:30–8:00 p.m.
Celebrate with the Tremont community at one of our favorite nights of the year, featuring carnival games, inflatables, food trucks, and our classroom raffle baskets.
Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are $1 each and will be sold before and after school during Fall Fest week. Cash is preferred, but cards will also be accepted.
We need parent volunteers to help sell tickets throughout the week - an easy way to lend a hand before the big event.
Help Us Make Fall Fest Happen
Fall Fest is a big night and it takes a lot of grown-ups behind the scenes to pull it off.
There are plenty of day-of volunteer opportunities, so grab a shift that works for you and then enjoy the rest of the evening with your family.
Recess Renegades Starts October 13
Same great recess activity. More fun name.
Recess Renegades takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch recess from 10:55 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on the Tremont Turf Field.
Students receive a card to track their laps and earn bracelet charms after completing 8, 16, and 20 laps. It’s a fun, active outlet for students and we’d love to see plenty of Renegades out there this fall.
Parents: We Need You, Too
A minimum of two parent volunteers each week (two per day) help track laps, manage cards, and keep things moving.
Easy shift. Fun kids. Front-row seat to recess.
Get the Shirt
Naturally, the Renegades needed merch.
Recess Renegades shirts are available in kids’ and adult sizes for $15 through September 30. Shirts will be delivered to classrooms in mid-October.
Important: Please enter your student’s last name and teacher when ordering, even though those fields may appear optional.
Walk + Roll Is Underway!
Thursday mornings are for walking, biking, scooting and rolling to school.
Students who participate receive a punch on their Walk + Roll card each Thursday. Be sure your student’s name and teacher are written on the card so every punch counts.
Why the Punches Matter
For every punch earned, Tremont PTO donates $0.05 to World Bicycle Relief, helping provide bicycles to people in rural communities around the world to improve access to education, healthcare and other essential services.
And because a little friendly Tremont competition makes everything more fun:
The class with the most punches earns a Wear a Hat to School Day!
Morning Volunteers Needed
Parent volunteers help greet students and manage punch cards at Tremont’s three entrances each Thursday morning.
It’s quick, cheerful and an easy way to help before the workday gets rolling.
